Dr. Brooke Fenton Psy.D.

Dr. Fenton conducts all the assessments at GHPS.

We offer several types of assessment depending on your concerns, age, and goals. During the consultation, we’ll help determine which evaluation best fits your needs.

  • ADHD Testing (Ages 4+)

    • Get a thorough evaluation of ADHD symptoms and behaviors, providing a clear diagnosis and recommendations for treatment or school-based accommodations.

  • Gifted Assessment (Ages 6-16)

    • Understand your child’s cognitive and academic strengths with a gifted assessment. This can help ensure that they receive appropriate educational support and enrichment opportunities.

  • Psychodiagnostic Evaluation (Ages 18+)

    • A psychodiagnostic evaluation helps identify underlying psychological conditions, providing a comprehensive understanding of emotional, cognitive, and behavioral functioning. This evaluation is particularly useful for individuals with complex mental health concerns or when more specific insights into psychological conditions are needed.

Why Choose Us?

  • Expertise and Experience: Dr. Fenton brings years of experience in diagnostic assessments. We ensure that every assessment is conducted thoroughly and with care.

  • Comprehensive Reports: Our assessments provide detailed reports that are easy to understand and can be used for personal insight, treatment planning, or securing school-based accommodations and support.

  • In-Person Assessments for Optimal Results: Although consultations and feedback sessions can be virtual, we highly value the advantages of in-person assessments. In-person testing allows for more accurate observation, standardized administration, and higher-quality results. All testing appointments are conducted in our office, located in Avalon Park, where we ensure a comfortable and focused environment.

  • Clear, Actionable Results: We are dedicated to providing you with the clarity you need to make informed decisions. Our assessments provide specific recommendations you can take to schools or providers and help guide you through the next steps.

Standard Assessment Process

Consultation

Begin your journey with a free, no-obligation 30-minute consultation with Dr. Fenton.

During this session, we will discuss your concerns, the assessment process, and how we can help.

Intake forms

After the consultation, parents or individuals will be asked to complete intake forms that provide important background information and context for the assessment.

Assessment

The next step involves a scheduled 3-hour testing session, conducted in our office. Dr. Fenton will assess various aspects of cognitive, academic, and behavioral development as  needed.

Report

After the assessment, you will receive a detailed, comprehensive report within three weeks.

This report will include the diagnosis (if applicable), an explanation of the results, and recommendations for next steps.

Feedback

We offer a free, optional feedback session to discuss your report in-depth, answer any questions, and provide further guidance on treatment, educational support, or accommodations.

This session may be conducted virtually or in-person.

A brief consultation can help clarify your concerns, answer questions about the assessment process, and determine whether moving forward feels like a good fit.
