Post-Doctoral Position for 2026-2027 Year
About Our Practice
Our practice is dedicated to helping clients reclaim their lives from the cycles of anxiety and fear through compassionate, evidence-based care. We specialize in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related conditions, anxiety disorders, and PTSD/trauma-related disorders, using approaches grounded in CBT, ERP, CPT, and ACT.
We are IOCDF-trained clinicians and active members of the International OCD Foundation, committed to clinical excellence and continuous learning. The practice was founded to address the shortage of specialized OCD treatment in Central Florida. Our director, Dr. Jacob Schlierf, received advanced training through Rogers Behavioral Health in Tampa and the IOCDF BTTI program, and has presented seminars on OCD treatment to major universities.
Our office is located in Avalon Park, Orlando, a lively and walkable area surrounded by small businesses, local restaurants, and nature. Fellows will share office space with other staff clinicians, working in-person on days when offices are available, and on other days making telehealth arrangements from their home (fully remote positions may be considered but are not preferred).
The practice culture is collaborative, mentorship-based, and down-to-earth, emphasizing clinical growth, humor, and creativity in the application of evidence-based treatment. We value compassion, resilience, and professionalism, and we take pride in training future OCD and PTSD specialists. Fellows who have already develop their own areas of CBT-related expertise are encouraged and supported in cultivating those specialties further during their training. Upon licensure there are opportunities for long-term employment within the practice.
